The Final Meeting of the MIND Project was held from the 9th to the 10th of January 2019 in Samarkand (Uzbekistan). After three years of intense work, the participants met to share the results, the lessons learnt and the paths ahead.
The venue was the Samarkand Institute of Veterinary Medicine (SIVM) where all partners received a warm welcome through the words of its Rector and Vice-Rector.
This opened the floor for the first working session, moderated by the Vice-Rector of SIVM, in which the European partners shared the activities carried out and the experience generated in them. The project coordinator also gave an overview of the project’s development and requirements needed for a correct closure of it.
In the second working session the results of the MIND project were shared by the Central Asian Coordinators from the 9 universities from this area participating in the project.
In the afternoon, the delegation was able to visit the astonishing legacy of the city of Samarkand.
On the second day of the meeting the remaining coordinators who had not had time to participate the day before shared the results achieved at their universities, after which all partners visited the Youth Centre at SIVM where some students presented their business plans. After eating one of the traditional Uzbek dishes, other outstanding students coming from Kirgizstan and Tajikistan presented their business ideas.
The last part of the meeting was dedicated to consult about sustainability measures for keeping the project initiatives alive.
