Kyrgyz National University

Kyrgyz National University (KNU) is the most important and oldest higher education institution in Kyrgyz Republic. It is modern multidisciplinary educational, scientific and cultural institution with its harmonious system of higher education, adequate to modern requirements. It successfully combines the best traditions of the national high school and innovative experience of the world system of university education.
It enrolls more than 25 000 students, and employs more than 2 073 teachers and lecturers.
KNU supports education and scientific relations with more than 100 universities from 20 countries (Japan, Korea, India, China, Russia, some European countries) and with international organizations, among which are the Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA), UNESCO, UNDP, Tempus, Erasmus+, ACCELS, NATO Science Programme and others.
Basing on bilateral agreements on cooperation KNU realizes students’ exchange programs with universities of Japan, Korea, China, Turkey and Russia.
